Queen Stewart Fundraises for Breast Cancer Patients

Queen N. Stewart, Esq. founded the New Jersey nonprofit Find Joy Now!™ after a diagnosis of Stage 3 breast cancer in 2021 that challenged her to reflect on her priorities, her goals, and above all, her joy. After her diagnosis, Queen began doing things she’d always dreamed of, like recording music. She also began trying new things such as performing stand-up comedy. The joy of these creative pursuits carried her through treatment. Now that she is in remission, she’s determined to continue cultivating creativity and joy… and to help others do the same.

Queen’s nonprofit Find Joy Now!™ works to make creative joys– think writing, dance, or music classes– available, free of charge, to individuals going through breast cancer treatment. 

Studies show that creative pursuits positively impact health outcomes by providing an outlet for self-expression, increasing mental health, and providing physical benefits such as reshaping the experience of pain.
